» Juarez is the Most Dangerous City in the World
I realize that it may sound reductive to say it’s easy to ‘figure this out’, but at this point I think it’s painfully obvious that the government isn’t ever going to win a war against organized crime in Mexico. Organized crime and drug money is so deeply entrenched in the nation’s economy, it touches so many parts of society, from the poorest peasents to the most powerful politicians, that even if you were able to suddenly rid the country of all drug traffickers and the drug trade, the entire system would collapse. I say it a lot, but the bottom line is that there is just too much money, so much fucking money.
Cattleprod is killing the drug cartel coverage. Read it before the drug cartel coverage kills him.
There is a slight chance that one of his MANY MANY followers is actually an undercover cartel operative. DO NOT DISMISS THIS NOTION, THIS NETWORK IS VAST AND CPROD IS A DRUG CARTEL TRUTH DIVINER.
And, in a dispatch from the earnest front, Cattleprod’s Mexico investigation (while conducted from the safety of his office/home on American soil) is just plain fascinating. Do read.
