Storks are often guests on power lines on ex-Soviet territories. Sometimes power lines play bad jokes on their nests so firefighters come on rescue.
I entirely forgot about englishrussia.com. Great weirdness.

» I'M SO GLAD JOHN HAS A JOB, A REAL JOB.
1. How come old people always laugh hardest at their own jokes? They tell a joke, and then they laugh, immediately. Is this going to happen to everyone?
2. Ten professional adults aged 40-60 trapped in a meeting room for two days will crack jokes at an average rate of 3.4 per hour. That is SO MUCH WORSE than a group of 10 people, selected at random, that I know.
3. What makes jokes so funny anyway?
4. If you weigh the facts for 6 or 7 hours, TJ Ford will almost assuredly get the starting nod at point guard over Jarret Jack, no matter what the Pacers brass says.
5. The bookish guy who sat across me might have been a sexual deviant, even more so in retrospect.

Blood on the floor at Gawker Media.
Honestly, you hate to see something like this happen.
It’s definitely a shame, but totally expected. Also expected: too many job applications and pitches will land in Balk’s inbox this afternoon (if they haven’t already).
